Wrestlemania week is here and it’s going to be a busy weekend.

I fly in Friday night for the PWS event at The Sportsplex in  Metuchen, NJ (www.prowrestlingsyndicate.com) for a 6 PM autograph session and bell time @ 8 PM.  Bret Hart, MVP, Matt Hardy, The Iron Sheik, Paul Ordorff, The Rock and Roll Express, New Jack, Amy Dumas (Lita), John Morrison, Jushin Liger and many more will be in attendance.

Saturday April 6, join Jordan Coulson and me for a Wrestlemania pre show live from Queens NY @ 1 PM!  Check out www.wrestlemaniapreshow.com and @maniapreshow on Twitter. I would like to thank Vegas Fuel and The Guys From Queens for allowing us to use their studio Saturday afternoon.

Saturday night I will be at Shenanigans across from MSG  for a pre Wrestlemania party.  I’m looking forward to catching up with a lot of people I haven’t seen in a while. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over this last year is I didn’t really lose any friends.  I just found out who my real friends were and will see quite a few this weekend.

Unfortunatly I have to fly out Sunday night just as Wrestlemania is getting into full swing.  I’ll catch the replay and see how my predictions faired…

I knew writing a blog would invite comments good and bad.  And did I get slammed for saying I thought WWE did a great job promoting Wrestlemania! Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  Even me.

Someone even questioned my being a “Doctor.” I love it…

I believe WWE promotes their events better than anyone in the world.  Wrestlemania is an EVENT, pure and simple.  The complaints of Rock VS. Cena II,  how “lackluster” the card is and CM Puck against The Undertaker is so predictable it will hurt Punk so much he’ll never recover, are all issues irrelevant to how the event will come off. WWE came out years ago telling everyone the matches were pre-determined.  Because the outcomes don’t fit the way YOU think they should doesn’t mean Wrestlemania will suck!  Pre determined or not, I feel the show will have it’s fair share of surprises and twists.  I make no apologies for the fact that I see things a little differently.

The go home RAW was memorable and a bit intense for some.  I don’t know how I would feel if a family members’ ashes were used in an angle, although I don’t think I would be upset.  Brad Armstrong was like a brother to me and I am sensitive to the idea of his wife and daughter having strong feelings against exploiting his sudden death.  The Undertaker VS. CM Punk will be an emotional ride for both men.  I don’t know all the particulars but one would think WWE would give Paul Bearer’s family the courtesy and respect of knowing what’s happening along the way…This IS professional wrestling and Bill Moody grew up watching and wanting to be a part of this crazy business his entire life.  As tasteless as many feel the angle is,  there’s real, raw emotion coming out of it.  Right or wrong, no one can say they don’t feel one way or the other.  You are either  disgusted and repulsed by the actions of Punk and Heyman or you are intrigued with the unique, evil ability to get their actions over and illicit a strong, heat seeking emotion from people that hasn’t been done in a loooong time… It’s a shame circumstances of a beloved father, husband, son and colleague passing away has become the centerpiece of the biggest show of the year.  We all would rather have Percy with us. I’m sure Taker would rather have him go to the ring with him.

Instead, The Undertaker will have to settle for a fitting tribute and get retribution for his fallen friend on the grandest stage of all. And he will…

Below are my predictions of winners and losers at WM 29 below.  I will leave the in depth anaylisis and break down to the real experts.

John Cena (Challenger) VS. The Rock (Champion)

I’m picking John Cena to walk out the new champ.  I can see a rubber match coming at Summer Slam or before.

Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter (Challenger) VS. Alberto Del Rio w/Ricardo Rodriguez (Champion)

Del Rio retains the championship here.  Ricardo might get some revenge on Jack and Zeb but either way I don’t see Swagger walking out with the title.  Maybe down the road, but not now.

The Shield VS. Sheamus, Randy Orton and The Big Show

While I do believe The Shield needs a win here I’m thinking Sheamus, Orton and Show will win.

Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston w/AJ (Challengers) VS. Team Hell No (Champions)

This is a perfect opportunity to switch the titles and I was leaning that way at one time.  But now I  see Kane and Daniel Bryan holding on to them at WM

Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman VS. Triple H w/Shawn Michaels

Triple H won’t retire and won’t lose at WM.  This will be brutal and interesting to see what happens in the end.

CM Punk w/Paul Heyman VS. The Undertaker

The Undertaker’s streak will never be broken.  At 21-0, this could be a perfect opportunity to have Taker retire with his streak in tact.  There is only one Undertaker.  I don’t see anyone touching his legacy.

The Miz (Challenger) VS. Wade Barrett

This match could go either way…If Ric Flair is in Miz’s corner I’d say he’s going to be the new champ. If not, Miz could still win and dedicate the match to Ric.  Wade Barrett is only going to get better and could find a way to hold on to the championship…

8.  Ryback VS. Mark Henry

Ryback will find a way to defeat Mark and walk out with a win.

9.  Chris Jericho VS. Fandango

Chris Jericho is a master at what he does but I believe Fandango will come out victorious.  Not without some lumps though.

10.  Tons Of Funk with the Funkadelics VS. Team Rhode Scholars with The Bellas

No matter where this is placed on the card this will be a darkhorse, entertainiung match.  In spite of  Sandow and Rhodes intellect, brawn over brains will prevail…TOF will get a win against Rhode Scholars.

These are my picks and opinions only.  Feel free to agree, disagree or not care.  BTW, I’m not a real doctor but I played one on TV…

Enjoy Wrestlemania 29!
